ForgeBox is the NPM of the ColdFusion world, and with CommandBox, CFML's CLI, you can easily add new functionality to your project with a simple `box install packageName`. We decided to dedicate a portion of our CFML News Podcast to ForgeBox Modules. We had 30+ episodes in 2019, each with a ForgeBox Module, so we wanted to give you a way to see all of them in one place, so here they are.

At Ortus Solutions we are known for building open source projects for the ColdFusion (CFML) community such as ColdBox, CommandBox, ContentBox Modular CMS, ForgeBox and many more. All of those products are licensed under the Apache 2 license and are completely FREE to use and extend.

Please note, that our training this year is AFTER the conference. This training series will be led by Box creator Luis Majano and ContentBox Evangelist Gavin Pickin. October has been a busy month, so we are late sharing this information, but with over a week left in October, you have plenty of time to earn your free t-shirt. HacktoberFest is celebrating it's 5th year this year, and will be giving away 50,000 t-shirts this year, to those contributing 5 pull requests to open source projects on github.

We are excited to announce the release of TestBox version 2.8.0. To install just use CommandBox:

box install testbox --savedev

To upgrade your current testbox installation just run the following:

box update testbox

TestBox 2.8.0 is a minor release with some great new functionality and tons of fixes. You can find the release notes here and the major updates for this release.
