We are now live running our upcoming product: ContentBox.  We are so excited about migrating our entire site and now even sporting a great blog which we call our Ortus BlogBox, in tradition of our *Box products.  So please stay tuned to our blog concerning information about our products, trainings, professional open source, CFML and overall web development.  So stick around!

ContentBox is a professional open source modular content management engine that allows you to easily build websites, blogs, wikis, complex web applications and even power mobile or cloud applications.  Built with a secure and flexible modular core, designed to scale, and combined with world-class support, ContentBox will get your projects out the door in no time.

ContentBox is built with a solid professional open source framework foundation; The ColdBox Platform, which has been powering web applications since 2005 and used by thousands of developers worldwide.  Used by clients like NASA JPL, ESRI, Adobe TV, NASA Kennedy Space Center, Equator Financial, FAA, GE, and much more, The ColdBox Platform has become the Object Oriented application framework of choice for premierColdFusion developers around the world.  Combined with its full-stack of features, java and hibernate integration, professional support, architecture and design services, ColdBox is the framework of choice for ColdFusion web development.

For Geeks:

ContentBox is not a traditional and monolithic CMS, blog or wiki application, but a combination of software modules that will provide you with CMS, blog and wiki capabilities or enhance any ColdBox application with these capabilities.  No longer be restricted by the application's extension points, but extend and scale modularly.  Under the hood ContentBox is powered by Java, ColdFusion, event driven programming and Hibernate; the de-facto standard object relational mapper.  Our entire infrastructure is built with scalability and cloud deployment in mind.

Community Connected:

ContentBox is connected out of the box to our open source software community; ForgeBox(www.coldbox.org/forgebox) from where it can auto-updated itself or install any community contribution.  Any developer world-wide can contribute and register their plugins, themes, widgets, modules, interceptors, etc in ForgeBox and every ContentBox installation will have access to their contributions in real time.  Collaborate and extend!

BoxLang 1.17 Series Part 3 : Encrypted Config Secrets

BoxLang 1.17 Series Part 3 : Encrypted Config Secrets

Everyone knows the datasource password should not be sitting in plain text in a config file. Everyone has also, at some point, shipped exactly that, because the alternative was a pile of environment variable plumbing that nobody wanted to build on a deadline. x

BoxLang AI 3.4 Blog Series Part 3 : Batched Approvals

BoxLang AI 3.4 Blog Series Part 3 : Batched Approvals

Here's a bug that's easy to miss until it bites someone in production: an agent turn asks for two tool calls at once, both need human approval, and only the first one actually suspends. The second one gets silently skipped. Not rejected, not queued, just gone. That's what happened before 3.4.0, and it's fixed now with batched tool-call approvals.

Getting Started with BoxLang as an Alternative CFML Engine

Getting Started with BoxLang as an Alternative CFML Engine

If you have an existing ColdFusion or Lucee application, one of the first questions you may have about BoxLang is probably not:

“Should I rewrite my application in BoxLang?”

It is much simpler:

“Can BoxLang run the CFML application I already have?”

That was the focus of veteran CFML troubleshooter Charlie Arehart’s session at Into the Box 2026, Getting Started with BoxLang as an Alternative CFML Engine.
