Yes, we have more speakers. ITB has a great ratio of speakers to attendees, so you get to learn the best from the best, and you have lots of opportunities to talk to the speakers at meals, and in the hallway track. ITB 2017 has a lot of great speakers that contribute to this conference. A conference is a lot of work, and we’re thankful for all of those helping us to bring ITB to everyone. These are speakers you do not want to miss. Here's our fifth speaker summary. ### Meet Esmeralda Acevedo - Speaker Interview for ITB 2017 I met Esmeralda 17 years ago, and enjoyed sharing an office, and shared the adventure working with the world wide web. She is a great designer, and an even better person, and I'm glad to see Esmeralda breaking out and presenting at Into the Box, as well as co-leading the ContentBox Workshop. Let's learn a little more about Esmeralda. Learn learn more about Esmeralda read the original blog post by Gavin Pickin by clicking the link below. MatchBox and WebAssembly: Running BoxLang in the Browser and at the Edge

The MatchBox open beta is live at https://boxlang.ortusbooks.com/boxlang-framework/matchbox, and it brings something genuinely new to the BoxLang ecosystem: a path into WebAssembly.

That means BoxLang code can now move into browser applications, static-site deployments, edge runtimes, and WASI-style containers - without requiring a JVM. The feature is still beta, but the core direction is already useful: write BoxLang, compile it with MatchBox, and ship the generated WASM artifact to wherever a small portable runtime makes sense.

BoxLang 1.14.0 : BoxSet is Here: BoxLang's New First-Class Set Type

BoxLang 1.14.0 ships something that JVM developers have wanted for a long time: a true first-class Set type baked directly into the language. Not a wrapper you reach for manually, not a createObject( "java", "java.util.HashSet" ) incantation you paste from a Stack Overflow answer years ago. A real BoxSet with literal syntax, operator overloads, a full functional pipeline, change listeners, JSON serialization, and deep Java interop.
