In this last session, Gavin was joined by Wil De Bruin. Wil De Bruin works a lot with CBValidation, contributed to the project, blogged a lot, and even presented at Into the Box in the past. They looked at different ways to validate your api input, your models, where to store your constraints, and helper methods to cut down on your API handler boilerplate. They discussed using validate() vs validateOrFail() and how you can make your own helper to make your api’s even more fluent. Live Stream Series - Koding with the Kiwi + Friends - Next stream July 1st 2022

In this next session, Gavin will be joined by Daniel Garcia. Daniel has done a lot of work with APIs, testing them with Postman, using other tools like NGrok, and learning how to document APIs with OpenAPI Swagger Documentation. Daniel will discuss his approach, and how we released a module to make API documentation viewing easier, the Swagger UI module on ForgeBox. They will document a few endpoints, look at the swagger.json generated, and see how that looks in the Swagger UI module.

In our last session, Gavin, Sam and David talked about Quick, qb, some tricks. Sam shared the story of their journey towards quick. Gavin made a fool of himself... but that didn't stop him from showing off some other tips. Find out more and how to watch last weeks stream.

Live Stream Series - Koding with the Kiwi + Friends - Next stream June 24th 2022

In our next session, Sam and David from In League will join Gavin. They will talk about their experience using Quick ORM, and qb, in their ColdFusion / CFML projects. Now that we have a simple DB Migration created, we'll start fleshing some entities and orm objects. We'll talk about how to test with the database gets involved, and look at getting our API to start returning data from the database... and more about db philosophies, and how to organize your services, entities etc. Find out how you can tune in and join the live stream.
