Announcing Our New Video Series: Deploying BoxLang in the Cloud

We’re excited to launch a new video series focused on deploying BoxLang Cloud Servers across the three major cloud providers: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

This step-by-step series is designed for developers, DevOps engineers, and cloud professionals looking to run BoxLang applications efficiently in modern cloud environments. Each week, a new video will walk you through different deployment scenarios using a range of BoxLang server configurations.

Watch Series

What You’ll Learn

The series will cover deployments for:

  • BoxLang MiniServer for Windows
  • BoxLang MiniServer for Ubuntu
  • BoxLang MiniServer for Red Hat
  • BoxLang with CommandBox for Windows
  • BoxLang with CommandBox for Ubuntu
  • BoxLang with CommandBox for Red Hat

You’ll explore multiple deployment methods using the cloud providers’ web consoles, command-line interfaces, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. You'll also learn how to connect securely via SSH or RDP, and how to configure your environment for development or production use.

In addition, we’ll show you how to upload and run your own BoxLang applications, including setups for ColdBox, ContentBox, or any BoxLang-based solution.

Where to Watch

This entire series will be available for free on BoxLang Academy and CFCasts, making it easy to follow along and revisit content at your own pace.

Why It Matters

By the end of the series, you’ll have a solid understanding of how to provision, access, and manage BoxLang servers in the cloud using modern tools. Whether you're experimenting with BoxLang or preparing full-scale deployments, this series is built to support your journey.

Stay tuned for weekly releases and start building with BoxLang in the cloud.

Introducing the BoxLang Spring Boot Starter: Dynamic JVM Templating for Spring

Spring Boot developers know the pain of evaluating view technologies. Thymeleaf is great — until you need more expressiveness. FreeMarker is powerful — until the syntax fights you. What if you could write templates in a dynamic JVM language that gives you the full power of the platform, feels natural, and requires zero setup to integrate?

Meet the BoxLang Spring Boot Starter.

Why Swiss Banks Are Modernizing CFML Platforms Without Rewrites

The growing need to evolve legacy financial platforms safely

These systems manage a wide range of functions, including:

  • internal banking workflows
  • reporting systems
  • client portals
  • data integration platforms
  • compliance and risk management tools

In many cases, thes...

Reactive vs Proactive ColdFusion Support: Why Waiting for an Outage Is the Most Expensive Strategy

Reactive vs Proactive ColdFusion Support: Why Waiting for an Outage Is the Most Expensive Strategy

Many ColdFusion environments operate in a reactive mode without realizing it.

Everything seems fine… until something breaks.

A server crashes.

Performance drops suddenly.

An integration stops working.

A security audit reveals missing patches.

At that point the response is urgent:

“Can someone help us fix this now?”

Emergency support is sometimes unavoidable. But when reactive intervention becomes the norm, it usually means something deep...
